Risk Management Specialist
As part of the UK Advisory Investment Services team, you will work with consultants, clients and prospects to improve their portfolios through utilising a range of risk management solutions, with a particular focus on longevity hedging.
This role provides the candidate with an opportunity to join the UK Advisory Investment Services Team, which continues to represent the largest part of the Global Investment Line of Business (LOB). The successful candidate will work closely with Investment LOB consultants, clients and prospects to improve their portfolios through utilising a range of risk management solutions, with a particular focus on the growing interest and need for longevity hedging. Your role will be to help promote the use of risk management solutions within the Investment LOB, to input into client specific strategy analysis and to maintain strong relationships with the Risk Solutions team in the Retirement Line of Business. In addition you will have opportunity to get involved in liability hedging projects (LDI) across a range of client and portfolio types. The Requirements
- Keen interest in risk management solutions, across asset, inflation, interest rate and longevity risk
- Technically very strong (eg qualified actuary or CFA) confident with asset liability analysis.
- Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking to improve the outcomes of clients' portfolios.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise and deliver accurately on time, often within short timescales.
- Good oral and written communication/presentational skills.
- Ability to work successfully in cross-LOB teams to ensure successful delivery of projects and to build strong networks in the investment and retirement practices.
- Willingness to support and guide investment colleagues in considering the investment aspects of longevity hedging for their clients, under internal guidance and the strategy ASK
