Regional Director, Financial Advisers/Intermediaries
~~The objective of this role, which reports to the Head of Financial Adviser Services (FAS), is to help expand and deepen the company's relationships within the UK Financial Adviser community. The core functions will be the education of Financial Adviser clients and prospects about Dimensional's perspective on capital markets research, business development, Adviser practice management and client communications.
You must be able to discuss the sophisticated investment solutions that Dimensional provides as it is critical to working with and influencing Advisers. Just as important, the Regional Director must have a strong business development and client service orientation and understand the issues and challenges Advisers face in building a client-centric, fee-based business.
An ideal candidate for the role will be someone who can demonstrate the ability to synthesise and communicate complex ideas effectively and who enjoys developing strong relationships with clients.
•Have direct responsibility for key client relationships and interactions as directed by the Head of FAS in a specific territory
•Assist Advisers in developing their understanding of capital market research and of its application to portfolio management
•Sales leadership and management of a territory composed primarily of fee-only, high net worth Financial Advisers.
•Construct portfolio analysis presentations for Financial Adviser clients
•Train Financial Advisers in asset allocation and portfolio construction using proprietary software
•Consult with Adviser firms on building an efficient practice while providing a successful investment experience to clients.
•Present at Dimensional conferences and seminars
•Represent Dimensional at industry events
•Be a spokesperson and champion of the Dimensional brand and investment theory throughout the industry and marketplace.
•Increase revenues, AUM and Adviser clients within the territory through the profitable growth of the Dimensional product suite.
•Be a team-player and sales and marketing thought leader within the Dimensional team.
Key characteristics and qualifications:
•A personal alignment, understanding and appreciation of Dimensional's investment process, philosophy and business strategy.
•Strong consultative sales abilities in building Adviser relationships and raising assets.
•Extensive knowledge and network of Financial Advisers who may share a similar investment philosophy to Dimensional or with enough intellectual curiosity to want to learn more about it.
•An entrepreneurial spirit with high energy and passion; a self-starter.
•Must have extensive experience in the Financial Services Industry.
•Bachelor's Degree; MBA or CFA strongly preferred.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly with regards to conveying technical investment approaches and key Dimensional selling points in a clear and compelling manner.
•Ability to present Dimensional's products and philosophy to small and large groups.
•Competitive but highly collaborative with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
