OUR IMPACT


The Global Fixed Income Product Management Team, part of the Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) business within the Investment Management Division (IMD) is focused on the strategic development, growth and positioning of our fixed income product offerings. The product management function is integrated with the portfolio management team and is focused on enabling distribution channels to win and retain fixed income clients through regular communications, strategy updates, and marketing initiatives. The product management team works closely with portfolio management to communicate product offerings, portfolio positioning, and current market environment to each distribution channel.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS HOW YOU WILL FULFIL YOUR POTENTIAL

- Develop Product Knowledge - Gain understanding of Fixed Income & Currency markets and develop product specialization: Money Markets, Municipals, Credit, Emerging Market Debt, Currency and Hedge Funds.
- Client Reporting - Take responsibility for the quality and timely delivery of client portfolio reviews and reports. Communicate Investment strategy and portfolio positioning on a regular basis to internal and external clients.
- Marketing - Assist in the writing of market reviews, performance commentary and market outlook for all fixed income and currency products, as well as updating of all marketing materials including bluebooks and strategy profiles.
- Sales Support - Act as liaison between distribution channels and portfolio managers; assist in responding to queries from sales, provide internal training opportunities.
- Desk Support - Assist portfolio managers on desk tasks, analysis and projects.
- Business Development - Participate in the construction of marketing materials, new business pitches, and bespoke client studies. Assist in preparation of Request for Proposals.
- Project Management - Work on various team-related strategic projects (e.g., product development, campaign initiatives, IT systems)

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES WE ARE LOOKING FOR


- Strong academic record with Bachelor's level, above or equivalent Finance, Business Management or a related discipline required
- Significant experience of working within investment banking/financial services industry required
- Must have CFA certification or working towards qualification
- Previous experience leading/managing teams within professional environment required
- Prior Fixed Income Product Management experience required
- Familiarity model portfolio construction and custom benchmarks required
- Strong client relationship management experience required
- Experience in reporting, providing market outlook, writing market reviews and performance commentary on fixed income and currency products required
- Familiarity with portfolio analysis and cash management required
- Experience in risk management (financial, reputational, regulatory, legal and others) required
- Experience of systems for the provision of performance, attribution required
- Experience of market data platforms (specifically Bloomberg) required
- Strong analytical skills required
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills required
- Must have ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines
- Must be a team player
