The role reports directly into the Head of Investment Management and will be responsible for researching, screening and selecting global equities securities.  The position will mentor a junior Analyst and in time it is expecting this individual will manage the Equities team as AUM grows.

 

 

 

Responsibilities of the Senior Equity Analyst:

 

  • Research and analyse companies, conducting detailed due diligence for buy and sell recommendations, as well as updates
  • Build financial models that can facilitate scenario analyses
  • Regularly prepare and deliver investment research to the Investment Management team and Client Relationship Management teams (in writing and verbally via presentations)
  • Produce and present regular performance reports and develop quarterly performance reviews and statements for presentation to management and/or external clients (in writing and verbally via presentations)
  • Maintain up-to-date, comprehensive knowledge of all factors affecting sectors and companies under coverage, including changes in market dynamics with the ability to comprehensively detail impacts, benefits, downside/upside risks, and related views
  • Organise and conduct company meetings/conference calls as part of due diligence
  • Maintain up-to-date models on the companies that form part of client portfolios
  • Proactively share market knowledge with junior analysts and support them in their development providing a sounding board and expert guidance
  • Participate in team meetings to detail/share information and discuss portfolio-related investment decisions (across asset classes)
  • Contribute to asset allocation discussions and generate innovative ideas
  • Attend relevant meetings with clients/prospective clients to support sales & marketing initiatives

 

 

Background of the Senior Equity Analyst:

 

  • University degree, preferably in business or related field
  • CFA or equivalent qualification preferred
  • Demonstrable in-depth experience and understanding within the professional investment environment, preferably in global equities
  • Ability to analyse business models with a long-term mindset
