Our Finance & Finance Technology Performance Improvement practice sits within our wider Advisory team and is growing significantly due to financial services organisations needing to address infrastructure weaknesses and adapt to the changing market environment. Consequently we are seeing our clients undertaking a wide range of projects. As a Finance Manager you will work with our Senior Managers and Director to deliver for our clients.
The opportunity
You will work us in delivering solution to some of the world's leading Financial Institutions covering all sectors and including technology. The type of projects we cover are -
Business transformations to drive best practice & cost efficiency
Finance operating model design and implementation
Enhanced performance reporting and business steering capabilities driven by the desire to provide integrated and aligned capital, risk, P&L and B/S management and explanation
Regulatory, statutory and management reporting projects covering IFRS, Finrep/Corep, GAAP, BCBS and other
Finance, Risk and Treasury integration
Front-to-Back process and controls improvements following recent unauthorised trading, product mis-selling and benchmark incidents
Finance systems architecture and strategy delivery
General Ledger, consolidation and EPM projects
Data warehousing and data management
ALM, Funding & Liquidity Management
Your key responsibilities
In your role as a Manager you will have responsibility for:
Managing a client assignments
Developing long-term trusted advisor relationships
Identifying opportunities for and securing new business
Aiding proposals and bid teams
Developing high quality technical proposals
Supporting development of our core client solutions
Managing the sharing of knowledge, experience (positive and negative) and lessons learned
Coaching and mentoring teams to encourage development of individuals and the practice
Liaising with service line teams, functional specialists and Area Partners to support client development initiatives
Skills and attributes for success
Knowledge of banking/insurance support functions (e.g. Financial Accounting and Finance Performance Management) and their key processes
A successful track record in Wholesale Banking / Capital Markets / Retail Banking / Insurance Gained either through a top tier consultancy (Big 4, IBM, Accenture etc.) or top tier bank
Change management/transformation experience, including an understanding of how IT change supports this
Understanding of process excellence methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
Possible international experience or European language skills would be a bonus
To qualify for the role you must have
Excellent graduate level education, minimum 2.1 degree or equivalent
Accounting/ finance qualifications (ACA, ACMA, ACCA, CPA CFA etc.)
Process excellence accreditation qualifications
Ideally, you'll also have
Desire to build / develop a career in advising our clients with organisational wide improvements and industry insight
Strong interest and commitment to understanding and developing leading edge finance solutions to our industry clients
High level of drive, commitment to achieving solutions and ability to work under pressure

You'll be a trusted business advisor to our clients with a strong Finance background. You will have strong experience of Regulatory and Reporting matters across with a solid understanding of Performance Improvement and Financial Accounting.
