The opportunity

We currently have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Senior Credit Analyst to join QIC's Credit team within the Global Liquid Strategies division to be based in our London office. This is a unique opportunity to join a leading fixed interest and overlays team who manage a full spectrum of investment solutions including absolute return, fixed interest and implementation mandates, with risk management and research at our core.

Reporting to the Director, Credit, you will contribute to Global Liquid Strategies' investment performance by undertaking bottom-up credit research on Australian and global debt issuers for specific industries to develop and disseminate credit trade recommendations, support physical and CDS positions and contribute to industry insight and views. QIC Global Liquid Strategies has a strong ESG foundation and ESG risks and opportunities will be an important component of this credit research. You will also undertake quantitative research with a focus on maintaining and developing trading screens and identifying single name credit and industry relative value opportunities.

Our collaborative culture and active management approach is one where every team member is encouraged to contribute and empowered to share their views.

The ideal candidate

As a strong candidate for this role, you will be passionate and have a deep understanding of what drives credit markets, embrace being part of a high performing team and have a circa 10-year track record in bottom-up credit research with either a buy or sell side firm or credit rating agency. Ideally, your career as an analyst has included significant coverage of global credit issuers.

Additionally, you will have completed a post-graduate qualification in finance and/or a related discipline and your advanced financial modelling skills will be important to your ongoing success. Although the CFA® charter is not essential it will be viewed favourably.

This is a challenging role that requires strong communication and collaboration skills, the ability to work autonomously, advanced skill in Microsoft excel and the use of Bloomberg and other international data information systems.
