Investor Relations Analyst
Role: Investor Relations Analyst
Location: London
Contract: Permanent
This is the job
As the Investor Relations Analyst you will be working closely with the Head of Investor Relations in all aspects of equity and debt IR and Corporate Finance activities including refinancing and M&A opportunities.
What will I be doing?
* Investor Relations key activities including: Trading update, Full year results, Capital Markets day, AGM, Trading update and Interim results
* Various Corporate Finance projects
* Helping draft and manage production of announcements, the Annual Report, results and investor presentations, liaising with contributors, advisors and senior management
* Working closely with financial analysts on their valuation and maintaining consensus
* Monitoring and evaluating the valuation in the markets, providing regular and informed updates to the board
* Maintaining and improving the client relationship management capabilities
* Ensuring effective investor targeting, monitoring and setting up correctly pitched meetings including roadshows
* Helping manage the department's infrastructure, including budget and data-base
* Responding to ad hoc investor requests, reporting and analysis
* Project management and valuation support on corporate finance mandates including refinancing and M&A
What do I need?
Capability, Knowledge and Experience:
* Proven interest in the Consumer and/or Business services sector
* Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong numeracy and quantitative analytical skills
* Proven Word and PowerPoint skills. Experience with producing top quality client presentations
* Proven Excel skills (some programming experience ideal)
* Demonstrable experience within a client-facing team at a professional services firm or investment bank an advantage Organisational skills and ability to work to the highest standards and levels of accuracy
Education and Qualifications:
* Degree level education or equivalent, ideally in a maths, economics or finance discipline
* Recent ACA or CFA qualified
Personal Characteristics:
* Ability to pick things up quickly and work under pressure with a high degree of accuracy and little supervision
* Organised and methodical, continually looking for ways to improve the IR function
* Good judgement and persuasive personality; confidence and credibility
