- Production of high quality country, industry and stock investment research
- Work with Implementation Team/Portfolio Managers to implement investment policy; backup other investment professionals as necessary within specified limits
- Support Company's client service and marketing operations by assisting in preparation work and assisting with consultant and potential client presentations within specified limits
- Support Portfolio Managers within the investment management function
- Production of monthly and ad hoc investment reports and communications to clients and consultants
- Assist in writing a quarterly outlook piece (for clients) that includes top-down views on economics
Qualifications / Technical Skills Required
- Previous experience working in financial markets at a tier 1 global investment bank.
- Outstanding academic record, with a minimum 2:1 degree from a leading university in Economics.
- Excellent A level grades to include Mathematics (minimum grade 'A') and other numerate subjects (at minimum grade of 'A')
- Minimum CFA Level 1
- Microsoft Excel skills (advanced) and PowerPoint skills (good)
- Proven analytical capability / experience
- High standard of written and oral English language skills
Desirable
- Knowledge of relevant investment valuation techniques
- Able to operate Datastream, Reuters and Bloomberg information systems
- A global outlook, with some experience of working in other countries
- Experience of writing market commentary for clients
- Additional language skills
- Extra-curricular activities that demonstrate leadership experience and initiative
