About the Company

My client is a boutique firm who tackle the statistic that 90% of businesses marketed for sale, fail to sell. They help to improve the odds by offering a highly structured approach for business owners that enhances the value and saleability of a business. They have their own bespoke programme which involves working with a business early in their sales plan - sometimes up to 3 years before sale. This gives them a great understanding of the business and where value can be maximised.

They have worked with over 500 clients across many sectors both domestically and internationally. Clients tend to be a business whose value is likely more than £5m and enjoy significant exposure to the mid-market.

They offer not only advisory services but invest their own fund into selected clients targeting exciting, high-growth UK businesses.

About the role

This newly created Manager role plays an integral role in the work provided to clients, including participating in all phases of projects. They have a huge amount of deal flow on at the moment so you will be involved in M&A transactions from day 1. You could be working on as many as 6-8 deals at any one time!

The company are far from your typical, stuffy Corporate Finance firm. They offer a young, dynamic environment in which to work that is more akin to a start-up than a bank.

Responsibilities
• Work on multiple M&A/fundraising deals and projects simultaneously
• Take an active role in managing and developing junior colleagues
• Seek out new clients through attending company events, networking sessions etc. and ensuring these leads are documented on the CRM
• Lead all stages of their services including diagnostic checklists, fact-finding, purchaser and financial analysis and ongoing reviews, amongst others
• Working with the Analysts to lead all aspects of the sale/fundraising process including workshops, purchaser research, due diligence and liaising with all parties throughout the process.

Training and Development
You will be given the opportunity to learn from some of the brightest minds in the industry. There is excellent progression on offer with the idea of this role moving into an Associate Director role when the person is at the appropriate level.

Requirements
• A 2:1 in any subject from a top University
• ACA/ACCA/CFA (or equivalent) qualification
• 2-4 years' experience working in a Corporate Finance function within a top Accounting or
Corporate Finance Boutique
• Top-notch financial modelling skills
