Position Description:

GENERAL:
The PIMCO Corporate Action Team manages life cycle of all voluntary events including but not limited to tenders, exchanges, Dutch auctions, consent solicitations, disclosures, conversions, optional puts, and dividend reinvestments. The role is an integral link between Portfolio Management, Legal & Compliance, Account Management, and Back Office Operations. The team also actively contributes to process improvement and process reengineering projects relating to enhancing communication related to corporate actions between various departments though the use of technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare and distribute Corporate Action reports to Senior Management
  • Reconcile positions on all voluntary events prior to sending on to Portfolio Management
  • Review offering material and compare data received from service provider to ensure accuracy
  • Communicate all guideline restrictions to Account Management and solicit requisite approvals
  • Collect and audit all PM responses on voluntary events
  • Inform PIMCO's Short Term Desk and Financing Trade counterparties of our intent to participate in an event or advise when financed positions will be affected by an event
  • Submit all elections on voluntary events to PIMCO's back office using proprietary system
  • Audit all allocations posted by PIMCO's back office on entitlements received from an event
  • Provide oversight of PIMCO's back office
  • Analyze and respond to ad hoc inquiries and projects


Position Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong understanding of Fixed Income fundamentals
• A minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Progress towards CFA/MBA a plus
• Standard MS Office knowledge
• Bloomberg skills
• Oracle SQL, VBA is a plus
• Outstanding relationship building skills
• Well organized, high energy self-starter, to work in a fast paced team environment
• Flexible and open to taking on additional responsibilities
• Confident working with PIMCO's most senior management levels
• Clear commitment to PIMCO's culture, values and approach
