The Role:

To develop and enhance ICP's capability to manage new investments, with a specific view to asset-level valuation, business planning, cash management, investment appraisal. This to include interface with fund-level valuation and modelling .

Your key responsibilities will be:
  • Overseeing (where necessary) the management and integrity of asset-level models in Fund 2 and, increasingly, in Fund 3.
  • Using commercial awareness (developed thought interaction with individual assets and managers) to interrogate, test and highlight key commercial inputs and outputs (eg covenant tests, working capital, P and L forecasts, tax structures, all financing agreements, cash extraction)
  • Develop experience of working with asset teams, in order to deliver business plans, monthly reporting, investments appraisals, budgeting.
  • Support Associate Directors in all aspects of their asset management responsibilities


You will have:
  • Familiarity with asset models: build, management, maintenance - in particular, complex long-term valuation models, including inputs from regulatory and non-UK jurisdictions
  • Skills in the valuation of infrastructure assets - buy side and sell side
  • Commercial experience in testing and analysing infrastructure business models
  • Some previous exposure to infrastructure assets and their management environments
  • Willingness to involve themselves in management and operations of the assets - credibility with operators, and sensitivity in terms of handling themselves in what may be foreign/challenging working environments
  • Interpersonal maturity - capable of working closely with Transactions and Investor Relations teams
  • Team player, not given to silo mentality
  • Possibly one of the following; ACA, CFA (Level 2), MBA
  • Advanced Excel Skills
