The comprehensive holdings-based approaches to style, performance and risk analysis also respond directly to the increasing demand for best practices from both Investment Managers and regulatory bodies. Their clients include investment managers, investment consultants, plan sponsors, multi-fund managers, private client firms, private banks, sovereign wealth funds, investment advisors, rating agencies, investment custodians, and independent investment data and analysis service providers.

The role of Client Consultant involves these key tasks:

1. To work with a defined set of customers, visiting them on a regular basis to promote use of our services thus boosting relevance and customer loyalty/satisfaction.

2. To work within our Client Team structure alongside the Sales team to identify and collaborate on client upsell opportunities.

3. To on-board new customers and ensure that they are competent using the features of our products/services.

4. To answer inbound telephone and email support queries on a wider range of topics: e.g. risk modelling, performance, reporting capabilities.

5. To gather customer feedback on product enhancement and development ideas and channel this back into the product team for evaluation.

The client consulting team forms part of a larger operation including sales, database management and development staff and they differentiate the customer support function by offering informed answers to customers and promptly.

The candidate would require:

• First-hand knowledge of working in an Asset Management function or working for a vendor whose products cover Equities with a "buyside" environment. The purpose is to understand how our customers work and therefore provide relevant training insights and suggestions. As well as to understand how different segments of the market have different requirements from the system e.g. a Multimanager's needs versus a Pension Fund's needs.

• An understanding of the basic market techniques and mathematical analysis (the ideal candidate may have attained a CFA qualification for example) and the ability to interpret the results of the analysis and explain it to others.

• Systematic approach to work and an ethic to serve the customer promptly.

• Excellent interpersonal skills both on the phone and in person including high standards of written English.

• Knowledge of Excel and aptitude to learn other systems and tools (VBA).

• Knowledge of other investment markets and asset classes, e.g. Equities, Fixed Income etc, is an advantage.
