The successful candidate will be working on all parts of transaction execution including risk analysis, structuring, writing and presentation of investment reports, managing third party diligence and negotiation of legal documentation; Portfolio management responsibilities to ensure adherence with risk appetite, covenant compliance and extraction of maximum value form the portfolio investments; and relationship management of investment companies

The ideal candidate will have good modelling and report writing skills that can quickly pick up the characteristics of the sector. Have direct lending experience to the speciality finance space and will be able to build asset/liability cash flow models for loans and other receivables. This is not a purely quantitative role, so focus will also be given on interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with clients.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Strong academics in a Quantitative discipline; MSc/CFA considered a plus
  • Strong Modelling skills; experience with securitisation or credit cash flow modelling considered a plus
  • Strong Report Writing skills
  • Good interpersonal skills (liaising with clients, managing counterparties, etc.)
  • Understanding of Speciality Finance, Financial Institutions, Credit, Structured Credit and/or Securitisation markets
  • Attention to detail, multitasking, critical judgment, self-starter
  • A successful candidate will exhibit an interest in credit, commerce and economics which goes beyond pure vocational experience and be able to apply their skills across a wide range of credit categories, channels and geographies. The candidate can expect to deploy an entrepreneurial approach to conduct fundamental analysis to understand and assess new to market propositions.


The candidate may be working for:
  • another lender in the space (bank or credit fund);
  • an advisory firm in their FI / structured finance team;
  • a securitisation team; or
  • a rating agency.
