THE SEARCH:

Altus Partners are delighted to be partnering with a leading alternative investment manager who are now looking to add to the direct lending team based in London. The fund targets deals within the low-mid market and provides innovative and structured senior/junior capital to a diverse client base both sponsored and corporates across sectors. They take a conservative approach to investing with richly priced loans meaning that there are exciting projects to be worked on by the Analyst coming in. Led by an incredibly experienced senior deal team with an impressive track record, the Analyst will gain direct exposure to working alongside rain makers in the credit world, as well as having immediate responsibility from the outset.

THE ROLE:

This position is set for the individual to analyse and evaluate potential credit investments and assist the senior members of the group in both origination and execution. The Analyst needs to have a fundamental interest in both analysing credit, and also more broadly the theory around direct lending.

THE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Monitor performance of existing portfolio investments and maintain financial models
  • Contribute to group wide projects and presentations
  • Development of investment committee materials, including credit memos
  • Supports cross platform projects and development
  • Legal documentation and closing
  • Be comfortable working as part of a lean vehicle in an entrepreneurial setting
  • A go getter attitude and a self starter

EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's and or Master's degree from a top tier University
  • 2 - 3 years of Leveraged Finance experience (only) from a leading banking team
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills (Excel skills a must), and a strong interest in credit analysis
  • CFA Levels 1,2 and 3 would also be advantageous
  • Excellent organisational skills and communications (both verbal and written) skills
