Meraki Talent are current working with a global financial services organisation to assist in expanding their Investment Governance function is part of the Investment Services team within Distribution and Marketing in Edinburgh.

You will drive decisions around asset allocation changes and manager changes, owning end-to-end decision-making processes, including in-depth analysis to monitor funds' risk / return performance.

Responsibilities of the Investment Governance Analyst:

• Approving new insured funds, monitoring the insured fund range and recommending changes where funds are not performing.
• End-to-end analysis, summary, report writing and final approval of key investment changes through the Fund Governance Group
• Management of end-to-end process of key governance activity through the decision-making process - e.g. reviews of strategically important funds and Distributor Influence Funds
• Provide insight into the analysis and synthesise the information to an appropriate level.
• Take recommendations to Fund Governance Group

Background of the Investment Governance Analyst:

• Experience from the Investment landscape including asset allocation, investment processes, investment styles, fund managers, funds and solutions
• Good regulatory understanding in respect of investments - e.g. Investment Rules / TCF
• Deep understanding of fund management practices, retail and institutional fund structures, and performance measurement tools.

IMC/CFA qualifications would be advantageous, although not necessary. Experience in investment performance or similar analysis is also essential, as is some exposure to using Morningstar
