This is an opportunity to join the global macro research team at the top-ranked independent research provider, Fitch Solutions Macro Research. The role involves working closely with our global economists and strategists and senior country risk analysts to improve workflows and efficiencies by systematizing data and content sets, as well as writing some analytical content.

Relevant analyst/data analyst experience required, ideally working across various macro and sector content and data sets.
  • Qualifications: BA/MA/MSc/PhD Economics or similar. CFA level I, II or II not necessary, but beneficial.
  • London or Singapore based


Role:
  • Work as part of a team of four Global economists that focus on providing the thought leadership for the wider macroeconomic research team
  • Helping to build and maintain systematic data sets for the global and wider research team to access
  • Strong focus on building bespoke global, regional and country-level leading indicators
  • Work on developing proprietary data sets that add analytical value, working closely with senior analysts across the research team
  • Manage our data providers and centralize their functions
  • Coordinating certain research publications
  • Write short pieces of analysis as well as presentations around specialized data sets that we create
  • Working with junior analysts to help audit and improve forecasting accuracy


Skills:
  • Spoken and written English
  • Very proficient at VBA coding, Bloomberg, with experience of Macrobond, Wind beneficial
  • Strong analytical ability and entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on building productivity tools
  • Self-starter & very strong attention to detail
  • Able to break down complex data sets analysis
  • Ability to manage own time, project manage and work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work with and analyze large data sets
  • Proactive communicator
  • Interest in macroeconomics, geopolitics and financial markets
