Description

Seeking a motivated professional to manage all financial aspects of a major capital project. Must be a team player who is able to add value through a variety of skill-sets. Be a pro-active manager whose skill set will span from the C-Suite to the Construction Trailer. Will have the f ull financial responsibility for $ XX Billion 25-33 Canada Square Repositioning and Renovation Project . Responsible for securing Citi's Executive Management authorization for all the aspects of the Capital Program and management of control structure and systems to ensure adherence to all required Citi's Compliance and Expense Management policies. Manage and control project's master and sub-projects budget and phased closeout. Reports to the CRS EMEA Region Head.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and present financial authorization requests for Senior Management Approval
  • Manage a command and control structure, staffing and systems to meet Citi Expense Management Policy (CEMP) and Compliance requirements
  • Establish rules of the road for the management of the Project Budget, Fixed Assets, CTI, CSIS spend, approvals and depreciation.
  • Support the creation and approval of the IEP - Master and Children - and subsequent tracking and reporting.
  • Develop the new space charging process and GOC code disciplines with the Space & Occupancy team.
  • Work closely with Project Cost Consultant Team to control project's Financial Status
  • Manage all the aspects of reporting to ensure all levels of Citi Senior Management, as well as project personnel, have appropriate information on project's Financial Status
  • Present Financial Status reports to Citi Senior Management
  • Act as interface point between Real Estate Finance, Controller, CRS Compliance and Procurement
  • Ensure staff and support departments maintain project-related records, including contracts and change orders
  • Authorize access to project accounts
  • Authorize the transfer of expenses into and out of project-related accounts
  • Ensure controlled transition between Citi's current and future real estate management systems
  • Manage outsourced and internal Finance staff required to provide full project implementation support - from initial purchase orders to transition to fixed assets
  • Manage the review and approve supplier invoices related to a project
  • Manage the review and approve time sheets for work related to a project
  • Review and approve overhead charges to be applied to a project
  • Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management
  • Forecast project costs associated with capital, cashflows & P&L
  • Report to management on any opportunities for additional productivity savings
  • Report to management regarding the remaining funding available for projects


Qualifications

• Extensive Years business management skills
• Extensive Years hands on technical experience in database management
• Extensive Years in business environment writing and editing skills
• In depth understanding of Citi's Financial Systems
• In depth knowledge of GAAP principles
• Detailed knowledge of project contracts and change order documents
• Experience in project accounting
• Extensive Years experience and highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT)
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Knowledge of CRS/Citi preferable
• Knowledge of Real Estate industry preferable
• Experience in working with international environments a plus
• Bachelor Degree in Business or Accounting or equivalent experience. Advanced degree a plus
• Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) is a plus
• Excellent financial/analytical skills
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to process work quickly, accurately and with changing priorities
• Strong communication skills and be able to work well in an team environment
• Ability to create quality documents and meet the appropriate deadlines
• Ability to quickly grasp business and technical concepts
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to influence across the organization
