THE SEARCH:

Our client is a major global asset management firm with AUM of several hundred billion USD, famed for its highly successful High Yield Bond and Leveraged Loan strategies. They have tasked us with hiring a new Product Manager based in their London office to represent these funds, with scope in due course for coverage of Distressed, Structured and Emerging Market Corporate Credit.

THE ROLE:

This will be a key role within the Product team, but will also work hand-in-hand with the Credit Investment team. In addition, there are a number of clearly defined paths in place for career progression over time, to ensure maximum long-term development potential for the successful candidate.

Key responsibilities will include the following, amongst others:
  • Attending meetings with existing and prospective investors in the capacity of key representative for High Yield Credit strategies.
  • Providing investors with regular and ad hoc updates on fund strategy, performance, credit markets, etc
  • Maintaining close and effective relationships with the firm's Credit Investment teams.
  • Reviewing and helping to prepare PPMs, fund creds packs, RFPs and other marketing materials.
  • Conducting market or performance analysis necessary to satisfy investors' specific requests for information.
  • Engaging in product development for new High Yield Credit launches.
  • Assisting with broader client relationship management requirements.


THE BACKGROUND:
  • Thorough working knowledge of High Yield Bonds and Leveraged Loans.
  • 5 to 10 years' total experience, including in any of the following capacities:
    • Product Specialism / Product Management / Client Portfolio Management
    • Investor Relations
    • Investment Consultancy
    • Fund Manager Research
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Proven ability at building relationships.
  • Strong academic background, and ideally a relevant professional qualification (CFA / CAIA).
  • A positive attitude, willingness to use one's initiative, and a team-spirited mindset suitable for a collegiate working environment.
