Within the Investment Management Team, our Internal Audit and Assurance function specialises in helping the world's leading investment management companies. We have a significant book of leading clients in the Private Equity and Hedge Fund spaces, as well as the traditional Asset Managers.
Our core team combines specialist internal audit and assurance knowledge and experience, relevant industry and regulatory experience and access to the full breadth of Deloitte's expertise to provide cutting edge insight and support to our clients

Your roleBased on significant client demand for our services and a strategic A&A build-out, we are looking for senior professionals with relevant IM experience to join the London Team.

The successful candidates will have the opportunity to take a significant position in delivering assurance and advisory work to our existing clients in the IM sector. Recent projects have included work on conduct risk frameworks, culture, governance and controls, MiFID 2, AML & financial crime, cyber risks, outsourcing, transaction advisory support, controls reviews, and other technical advice. You will also be expected to contribute to the technical and people development and business development initiatives within the team.

Your responsibilities
This role will have responsibility for:
•Liaising with clients to assess relevant Business, Operational and Regulatory risks
•Devise and execute review and testing programs, draft and agree findings with client management, delivering reports and implementable recommendations
•Delivering work to the highest technical standards
•To have a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them; have a clear understanding of the firm's commitment to creating an inclusive culture

Work pattern:
This is a permanent full time opportunity.

Your professional experience •Experience in IM, either as part of a Financial Services institution or in an Advisory / Business Consulting organisation
•A proven track record and solid experience of working within, or providing services to, Compliance / Internal Audit / Risk / Operations departments of financial services firms, preferably in the IM arena
•Experience with, and an understanding of how, regulatory, compliance, operational and business risks drive decisions for IM firms
•Experience of field managing advisory engagements, leading teams and reporting to business management
•Attained, studying towards or considering relevant accreditations (e.g. ACCA/IIA, CIMA, CIA, CFA, CISI)
•Knowledge and experience of operational review techniques including risk assessment, scoping, approach, and testing
•Report writing, presentation, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
•Team leadership skills
•Time management and organisational skills
•Proven ability to use initiative, adapt and independently solve problems
•Flexibility to travel (as appropriate)
