Sarasin & Partners LLP is looking for a Global Equity Data Analyst to join the Global Equities team on a full-time basis.

This Global Equity Data Analyst will be responsible for data integrity, analysis and screening of investment universe, buy lists and portfolios. You will undertake data orientated investment research to seek fresh insights into investment opportunities and maximise the value of internal and external data sources. As part of your role, you will provide support for portfolio construction while liaising with the Risk and Performance team.
Key responsibilities are:
• Core Duties
o Maintenance of Global Equity thematic investment universe (c800 stocks) and Buy List(s). Ensure disciplined implementation of the investment process.
o Screening universe to highlight stocks worthy of deeper fundamental research.
o Portfolio analysis and pre-implementation modelling. Management of lead/model portfolio cashflows
o Preparation of agenda and supporting papers for regular team meeting rotation.
o Portfolio analysis to enhance portfolio construction insights. Liaison with risk and performance team.
• Other
o Data analysis and integration of external data sources to improve insights..
o Ensure team is compliance with Sharepoint and SIC data requirements. Potential administrator of Chatter (or similar) if adopted.
o Data orientated investment research. Utilising social media and other freely available search or data tools (e.g. Google Trends) in support of fundamental analysts to provide additional insights. Consideration of how 'Big Data' can be utilised within the investment process.
o Analysis of payment/value for money from sell side, CSA and other paid for research sources post MIFID II
Required job skills:
• Degree level education
• CFA not essential, but is desirable
• Mathematics, statistics, data or computing related background
• High level of Excel skills. Familiarity with Bloomberg and Charles River.
• Previous experience, ideally with a buy-side firm
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a team player
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Act in the spirits of the LLP's Core values and promote where possible within working practices.
