We're looking for an ambitious and flexible individual who is willing to help to manage our external research process and simultaneously act as a Business Analyst for the Equities division.
We want someone who is happy to undertake a hybrid role and be open minded about where it goes. You'll be prepared to manage a well defined process but confident in proposing positive change. And you'll welcome the chance to contribute to the wider strategy of the Equities business. You'll be busy, hands-on and can-do. Sharing ideas and insights across the Equities Management Team.

The base

The team
We provide a wide range of services related to the consumption of third party research and commission management for all portfolios managed by Schroders' equity investment team globally.
In addition, the team provides support to the Equities Management team in helping to gather and present data that informs the overall strategy of the business.
We work hard but we're flexible, so we can all balance our personal and professional commitments.

What you'll do
• Work with investment teams to ensure compliance with regulations where it relates to the consumption of external research, corporate access and the generation of research commissions
• Manage relationships with providers and ensure research aggregator systems access rights for consumers are in line with agreements
• Run the commission sharing program in Asia, including monthly reconciliation of eligible trades with brokers and instructing payments of research commission generated
• Manage the global research evaluation process including commission, voting evaluation and budget management
• Oversee data capture and subsequent payment calculations for corporate access and conferences
• Engage with investment teams, Compliance and management teams
• Process invoices for services received and handle payment queries
• Work with the Head of Equities and wider Equities Management Team in executing on the division's strategic priorities
• Proactive research and analytics for the Head of Equities
• Development, advancement and monitoring of equities management information and KPIs
• Development and advancement of our analytics and insight capability
• Advise on and oversee the development of management reporting tools
• Production of MI for senior management and Fund Managers

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
• An understanding of Investment Management and investment operations architecture, or demonstrable ability to gain this knowledge quickly
• Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel. Ability to pick up new systems quickly and pro-actively develop technology-led solutions
• Data manipulation skills
• Strong mathematical ability, some understanding of investment management concepts

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
• Advanced IT / coding skills
• You may have completed the IMC or CFA qualifications (or equivalents)
• A proven record of innovation
