The Strats Team
The Sales & Structuring Strats team performs quantitative and other analysis, working with tools, models and markets data to help facilitate financial transactions. The team includes experts in financial markets and products, structuring, technology, data analysis and marketing. We work with Sales, Trading, Technology and other areas of the Securities Division, and with clients.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
You will help grow Goldman Sachs' market share in our listed futures and options business. You have some experience in this field, most commonly from another bank or buy-side, or clearinghouse, data company, independent research firm or broker/dealer. You are passionate about macroeconomic markets and happenings, comfortable across asset classes, have an outgoing personality that likes to engage with teammates and clients, and sound quantitative skills. You are joining a team of Futures and Structuring Strats, within the GS Strats community and a flagship FCM business (Futures Commission Merchant), alongside the Securities Sales & Trading franchise.
Your primary responsibilities will be to create content (trade ideas, reports and written commentary), perform analyses for client requests and attend client calls/meetings, and help with projects and strategic initiatives. Examples include tactical trade ideas expressed through intermarket spreads, curves or options; cash/futures RV trades and comparisons of implementation between listed derivatives vs. physical or OTC; and working with teammates to increase our market share in key client and product segments. GS is an industry leader in the space, with a strong platform in place that you will leverage and grow further.
