The role will involve the execution of tasks such as: evaluating client questionnaires, analysing business financials, reviewing business operations, collecting and analysing business data, performing financial due diligence, drafting investment memorandums (IMs) to be sent out to investors, leading client communications. A successful candidate will be able to critically analyse business operations, perform financial due diligence, and draft marketing materials (IM's) outlining business fundamentals and will have strong attention to detail.

This candidate must be able to work in our London office and will not require an ongoing visa sponsorship.

General Responsibilities:
  • Work in a support capacity for all members of the M&A team
  • Perform in-depth interrogation of client business performance and financials
  • Analyse client business questionnaires
  • Work closely with potential clients to collate and organise financial data
  • Draft business information memorandum (IM) in support of the Origination and Onboarding process

Experience & Education:
  • 1-2 years of prior experience in similar roles within the financial services or technology industry
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, accounting, or similar
  • Preferably studying for CFA or ACCA/CIMA

Who you are:
  • Robust analytical skillset and naturally inquisitive
  • Ability to analyse profit & loss statements, balance sheets and communicate insight, patterns and trends
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in fast-paced environment
  • Experience with MS Excel
  • Good understanding of financial/accounting principles (GAAP), both conceptual and practical
  • Excellent business writing skills
  • Deadline-driven, and has a sense of urgency
