The Role
Reporting to the Head of Product Strategy EMEA, the Product Strategy Manager will help ensure the organisation provides high quality products addressing the needs of their clients through research and product development efforts, product positioning, and product placement within global portfolios. This is a collaborative role across locations and business departments.
Key aspects:
Build a strategic roadmap of product ranges to capture product and market opportunities.
Sourcing for innovative product ideas, conducting market competitiveness analysis, identifying opportunities and recommending new product ideas suitable for institutional & retail investors.
Develop new products by partnering and collaborating with senior executives within EMEA sales and client service professionals for new product development initiatives.
Support the gathering and retention of assets by providing a strategic perspective on assessing business and product needs, negotiating and addressing pricing issues, and recommending product and pricing strategy.
Meet with clients and gatekeepers to evaluate investment needs, vet new product ideas, solicit feedback and provide product, vehicle and pricing solutions.
Attend client meetings/ due diligence meetings/ conferences as the institutional product strategist representing the firms views
Present on institutional market trends, product development themes, and product innovation.
Key Skills
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or Economics - IMA, CFA, CAIA qualification preferred.
Strong industry experience working with clients across different European jurisdictions.
The position will require strong and demonstrable technical knowledge and expertise within the Institutional channel
Excellent relationship management skills with senior leaders across the organisation, particularly sales and client service professionals, and across geographies and time zones.
Strong product knowledge and investment expertise gained in a Product, Consultant or Sales function.
Excellent knowledge of markets, products, techniques and regulations
Ability to provide perspective and substantiate recommendations through in-depth analysis.
Understanding of multiple regulatory requirements for institutional products globally.
Proven success in representing institutional products and concepts to senior management and peers; viewed as a recognized expert among company leaders.
Deep understanding of all asset classes, including Alternatives
