Regulatory Compliance Manager | Edinburgh | Permanent | £highly competitive + bonus

Change Recruitment Group's Global Asset Manager with offices in Edinburgh are looking to hire a Regulatory Compliance Manager to join their team as they go through some exciting growth. As a member of the EMEA Regulatory Compliance team, this role will report to the Senior Manager of the team, based in London. The candidate will help ensure that the business continues to act in the clients' best interests, through the ongoing development of regulatory culture in the business by meeting the relevant global and local regulatory standards and compliance obligations.

Responsibilities of the Regulatory Compliance Manager:

• Develop and maintain the firm's regulatory compliance policies and procedures.
• Advise and train the business on regulation and regulatory change.
• Lead specific regulatory-based activities and change projects.
• Consider regulation within business projects.
• Report on compliance to committees and boards.
• Together with the legal function, manage regulator relationships.
• Provide review of Financial Promotions and client communications material.
• Ensure regulatory filings (GABRIEL, ADV, Blue Sky, etc) are made to relevant authorities in a timely and
efficient manner.
• Provide advisory support to business covering COBS/COLL/SYSC rules as they relate to asset management

Background of the Regulatory Compliance Manager:

• Expert knowledge of Regulatory Compliance within the asset management industry, ideally within an
international setting.
• Strong advisory skills, using a proactive and consultative approach to provide constructive solutions when
resolving problems.
• Experience of supporting investment funds (ideally UCITS and AIFs in UK and Ireland).
• Proven prioritisation skills to manage workload of self within the context of a team.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with internal and external parties.
• Team player, able to work well with a variety of people of different backgrounds and seniority levels.
• Good network of compliance contacts and industry best practice.
• Preference for an industry-recognised qualification (e.g. IMC/CFA) and/or compliance qualifications (e.g. CISI Diploma in Investment Compliance).
