We are seeking to employ an equity research analyst up to VP level to work within the Food Manufacturing & HPC team based in London. The person will be responsible for coverage of the Food Manufacturing & HPC. The role will include contact with Citi's sales & trading platform as well as institutional equity clients. As well as developing the teams' external franchise, the successful candidate will also be expected to develop a strong personal franchise within Citi's equities advisory and distribution business.
Responsible for coverage of key Food Manufacturing & HPC stocks and supporting coverage which is led by other members of the team and helping to develop research that explains key trends in the industry.
The person is expected to build out lead coverage over time and obtain client recognition in the sector.
They will be expected to market ideas and products to Citi's equity sales & trading platform and to our global institutional client base.

Knowledge/Experience:
- Relevant financial services and/or specific industry experience.
- We are particularly interested in candidates with prior experience in the Food Manufacturing & HPC sector and/or experience of the investment decision process in buy-side or sell-side investment firms.
- Accountancy or other relevant qualification will be taken into account.
- Sound grasp of financial analysis, financial modeling and valuation techniques
- Clear knowledge of the equity research model
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- A proven track record of rigorous analysis and thought leadership
- An interest and understanding of stock markets
- Experience in developing client relationships
- An ability to work calmly and with accuracy under pressure
- An ability to meet difficult deadlines
- A team player
- Understands the client base and meets their requirements
- Typically Degree level, MBA/CFA would be a bonus
