The person will lead the firm's efforts to build, develop and embed environmental, social, and governance considerations in the investment decision making processes while supporting ESG related commercial activities.

Responsibilities of the role:
  • Responsibility for developing and evolving the firm's responsible investment culture, strategy and investment processes to ensure the approach to responsible investment evolves and keeps pace with market developments, client expectations and needs and legislative standards
  • Responsible for overseeing the effective design and implementation of responsible investment practices across fund management teams including relevant data and support systems
  • Chairing the ESG Governance Committee with responsibility for tracking, enhancing and reporting of our Responsible Investment activities
  • Work with clients and prospective clients to identify an approach to ESG investment or integration that meets their goals
  • Work closely with the Retail and Institutional client-facing teams to drive sales and raise the profile and understanding of the firm's ESG products, services and capabilities
  • Implement and execute strategic objectives and/or operational targets at a functional level, contributing to the development of operational and business plans

Desired Knowledge / Experience / Skills
  • Proven experience in a senior investment management role in a leading asset management firm
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge in responsible investment practices, ESG investments and the financial impact of ESG integration across public and private assets
  • Excellent presentation, communication and influencing skills together with an ability to think on one's feet
  • Capable of managing multiple relationships with key stakeholders and peers both internally and externally
  • Proven ability to work independently and lead multiple work streams and co-ordinating activities across a number of different internal functions when required
  • Proven experience within Investment Management business expanding across distribution and service propositions
  • Excellent knowledge of investment markets and financial products and demonstrable ability to combine theoretical and practical considerations to deliver compelling client solutions
  • Minimum 10yrs relevant investment industry experience with a relevant third level degree, MBA or advanced degree, and/or CFA designation are helpful
