Role Summary
The primary purpose of this role is to support the sales efforts across the EMEA Institutional business (UK, Middle East and Northern Europe). This role requires strong analytical, research and from time to time administrative capabilities and supports every stage of the sales process, working directly with the Sales associates.
The responsibilities of the individual in this position include:
Regulatory & Business conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by our organizations Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct across the business
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance
Support sales and business growth
• Work with sales teams to develop pitch material and collateral to help drive new business activity.
• Provide analysis that demonstrates the value add of the proposed Investments and highlights the competitive advantage.
• Produce high quality analysis, working with Client Strategy & Research, Investment Division, Marketing, and other departments.
• Manage and review process and necessary compliance sign-off's.
Market research
• Collate and update data around key individuals and organisations for our target companies including contact details and useful networks (for example using various sources of data to establish board representations and connectivity of board members with other organisations)
• Understand market trends and themes impacting institutional investors across the region.
• Proactively produce analysis or share findings that help shape the nature of developed solutions.
Manage sales campaigns/events and CRM
• Manage and maintain the CRM records for organisations and contacts (this has to be done close collaboration with Sales associates)
• Work with Marketing to prioritise leads derived from campaigns, events etc and map into sales team account prioritisation
RFP production
• Project manage RFP process from sales side (whilst getting as much support as possible from RFP team)
• Assist in completing RFP responses in tailoring to client specific circumstances, and ensuring all key sales messages are included.
The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experiences including the following:
• Candidates who are studying or intending to study for IMC or CFA (or other finance related professional qualifications) will be preferred
• Degree educated or equivalent in a numerical or quantitative discipline such as Economics, Finance, Maths etc.
• Some previous experience in Financial Services industry
• An understanding of asset management, financial markets, investment concepts, competitors and industry trends
• Strong analytical, quantitative and numerical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft suite - intermediate to advanced Excel skills (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting etc are essential. VBA is a plus)
