Key responsibilities: Working within the Firm's business management team, the successful candidate will play a key role in providing 'best-in-class' relationship management to a broad range of sophisticated institutional clients and assist in the management of the business.
A typical candidate will have extensive proven experience in an institutional asset management company in roles such as product or portfolio specialist, institutional marketing or sales; consultant relationships; and client relationship management.

A typical candidate will have extensive proven experience in an institutional asset management company in roles such as product or portfolio specialist, institutional marketing or sales; consultant relationships; and client relationship management.
Key deliverables:
- Develop strategies and materials to help deepen and strengthen existing client relationships, contribute to client retention, and improve the transparency with which the Firm communicates with clients.
- Build a solid working knowledge of the Firm and the Franchise portfolios to be able to communicate clearly to the Firm's clients.
- Play a key role in the quarterly client letter and semi-annual client webinar production process, including presenting live webinars to clients. Generate materials that discuss investment returns, portfolio changes, business updates, and ad hoc topical content.
- Organize, schedule, and participate in a regular programme of client and consultant review meetings. This includes hosting meetings, preparing briefing notes and presentations, and documenting meeting notes and follow-ups. In time, this will involve playing a lead role in client/consultant meetings.
- Manage general ad hoc communications to clients (e.g. investment or regulatory communications). Respond to client queries by email and telephone.
- Contribute to written investment content, including new position blogs and issues of interest papers.
- Contribute to the monthly/quarterly/annual client reporting process, including drafting/editing commentaries, reviewing reports, and contributing to other bespoke client-specific reporting.
- Contribute to the completion of RFPs, RFIs and existing client due diligence questionnaires, as well as the regular update cycle for client presentation templates.
- Help manage the Firm's client portal, including the development of content.
- Play an active role in the governance of the Firm's pooled funds, including reviewing fund documentation and preparing and presenting reports to the Fund Boards on a quarterly basis.
- Contribute to the preparation of the quarterly partners' meeting report. Update asset, return peer group, client, and pipeline data for presentation to the partners.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects across the business as needed.
- Support other functional areas of the business in drafting/reviewing written communication to clients.
Skills required:
Must have:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork and presentation skills, comfortable presenting to all levels of seniority at institutional clients
- Good understanding of the asset management industry and experience of working with institutional asset management clients and consultants
- Strong technical and product knowledge, particularly equity strategies
- Desire to work in a small firm
- Flexible approach to help identify solutions for improved efficiency
- Ability to work under pressure and manage varying demands within a small firm through effective time management
- Deadline driven and committed to quality
- Experience of working with complex data sets
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred but not necessary:
- Familiarity with institutional consultant community, including databases
- Familiarity with Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS®)
- Familiarity with FactSet, Bloomberg, etc.
- CFA or IMC qualification
- Experience of working with a CRM system (MS Dynamics)
