Technical Payments SME

This position requires a deep understanding of how funds flow in the payments industry. You will be working closely with our compliance, product, and trading teams to bring best in class solutions to how cross-border payments are made. In this role you will be required to build a new settlement and internal payments processes as well as develop new target operating models, specifically related to payments and multi-currency accounts. Some of the Responsibilities:

• Bring a Solution Architect mindset
• SME in all thing's payments - support customer success, product and technology team building and integrating new payment solutions and capabilities
• Responsible for articulating direct and indirect business impacts of various regulatory requirements which need to be considered in developing FX / Multi-currency processes
• Develop a target operating model required to support scalable payment processing capability
• Identify areas for operating improvement, particularly in terms of automation and scalability

Key Experience Required:

• Strong experience in a settlement, treasury, payments operations or similar position
• Detailed knowledge of different payment methods; SWIFT, BACS, Faster Payments, ACH, Fedwire, SEPA
• Experience in building target operating models and designing new solutions
• Technical ability and curiosity, the ability to use or learn SQL / VBA / Python (Desired but not essential)
• Passion for technology and how this can help automate, scale and improve the way this industry operates
• Professional or technical qualification such as CFA or ACA (Desired)
• Ideally experienced working in start-up environments, ability to be flexible and bring a self-starter and independent thought approach
