The position holder will be responsible for handling the funding and foreign exchange trading for a number of assigned countries. The Funding and FX Trader will manage the risks associated with funding and FX products by applying knowledge of financial markets and regulations.

The Trader will also perform a number of other Treasury tasks such as but not limited to; liaising with other Cargill stakeholders on trade execution issues, taking a market view, running daily reports, consolidating data from internal and external recipients in relation to Funding and FX.

MAIN TASKS
  • Handle day to day execution of external funding and FX transactions for assigned countries
  • Assist to ensure the optimal intercompany cross-border funding flows and manage interest rate risk / FX exposure of short term funding positions
  • Execute FX trades with agreed counterparties, dealing with products such as spot, forwards, swaps and options in G10 currencies and emerging market currencies
  • Work with key stakeholders to evaluate risk
  • Providing market analysis to provide FX/ Interest Rate views
  • Adhoc report creation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant subject area; Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering
  • Strong understanding of Treasury/ Financial markets/ FX
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and understanding of risk
  • Strong mathematic ability and spreadsheet skills
  • Systems literacy with the ability to work with proprietary systems and market systems (Bloomberg)
  • Proven communication skills in fluent and written English and able to communicate to a variety of stakeholders globally
  • Able to work in a team environment and apply expertise to overall team objectives, but also able to work independently in a time sensitive environment

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
  • Proven work experience in FX or funding desks of large corporates or major banks
