Job Purpose
Alcentra are looking to strategically increase their GIPS compliance across the firm and require an experienced candidate to help implement the project and create an ongoing framework to embed into the business.

The project will initially be run by the Change Management team, whose purpose is to deliver a diverse range of strategic projects globally across the business, utilizing and coordinating with various areas of the business and senior Stakeholders. Once GIPS compliance is established, the role will transition to a Performance Measurement Analyst within Global Operations to embed policies and procedures and maintain GIPS compliance, as well as the opportunity to further enhance their knowledge and expertise within this technical and diverse team.

Key Responsibilities
Initial Project
•Assist with creating a proposal on the feasibility of firm wide GIPS Compliance, by establishing a cost/benefit analysis in order for key stakeholders to agree the scope of the project
•Work with external GIPS specialist consultants to devise and implement a framework to construct composites
•Be the key BA for implementing the project, gathering and verifying performance data to create a 5 year track record for the relevant funds, working closely with our back office provider, internal fund accountants and fund administrators/custodians.
•Develop and embed GIPS Policies and Procedures
•Lead the GIPS verification project

Performance Measurement Analyst
•Ongoing maintenance and construction of GIPS composites. Resolve any outliers identified and ensure composite oversight processes and communication of changes is effectively managed
•Assist with and verify the calculation of all GIPS and production of performance reports
•Monitor ongoing developments in GIPS compliance including best market practices
•Potential for expanded role within general Fund Control - Fund Accounting, Fund Attribution, Pricing and Investor Reporting.
•The Performance Measurement Analyst will have internal facing responsibilities within Global Operations, Marketing, Investor Relations, Change, Compliance and Risk.

Qualifications

Experience and qualifications required
•Prior GIPS experience essential
•Performance Measurement experience essential
•Background in implementing GIPS/project experience would be beneficial
•Exposure to asset classes and strategies specific to Credit Managers, preferable
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both verbal and written.
•Ability to multi-task; work to tight deadlines and able to cope under pressure.
•Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
•Must be organised and able to prioritize duties and responsibilities.
•Able to work independently and in a team
•Performance based qualifications preferred e.g. CFA and/or Accountancy qualifications
•Fund Accounting background also beneficial
