A leading ratings firm is seeking a junior Credit professional to join their team with a focus on Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs).
Responsibilities
Based in London, you will be responsible for covering a portfolio of NBFI issuers across the EMEA region. This entails performing analysis of quantitative and qualitative factors (cashflow modelling, PnL review, financial statement analysis, etc.) and preparing proposals and documentation for credit ratings committees. The position holder will present and discuss recommendations for new ratings or rating changes, holding internal rating committees and communicating the firm's credit opinions externally. You will also be involved with, and initiate, ad-hoc sector-specific commentaries and research. The role will also involve some analytical support to business development activities, as well as interaction with issuers, investors and bankers.
Requirements
Successful candidates will have a strong fundamental credit skill set, gained in a financial institution, ideally with exposure to NBFI's, banks or leveraged finance. Candidates must have strong communication skills, verbal and written, with additional European languages advantageous. You must be organised and passionate about your work. Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA and CFA are also advantageous.
