Do you want to join a 20 person, full-time Manager Research Team, researching the best asset managers globally?

Do you want to be responsible for the researching, selecting and monitoring of long-only equity asset managers across a diversified range of global, emerging and regional equity strategies?

How about working collaboratively with the Multi-Asset and Private Equity teams, helping to deliver manager research and provide advice to the firm's clients?

As a Public Equity Manager Researcher you will conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of managers to understand and evidence potential competitive advantages. Closely monitor the evolution of these competitive advantages post-selection.

You'll lead the Preferred List research process - screening the manager universe, meeting and selecting the best available managers and preparing the materials for approval by the firm's Investment Strategy Committee (ISC).

In addition, you will articulate investment views and manager recommendations to external clients, prospects and internal stakeholders (such as the Investment Consultant team).

YOU WILL LIKELY BE
  • 3-8 years' into to your Investment career.
  • Passionate about equity investing.
  • Experienced in public equity research (manager researcher, analyst/PM or equity specialist at an investment consultancy, asset manager or in-house team of an asset owner).
  • Experienced in working with institutional asset owners, particularly in the wealth management space.
  • Knowledgeable of both quantitative and fundamental investment strategies.
  • Analytically minded with good quantitative skills.
  • Able to communicate complex ideas clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • A self-starter who takes the initiative and has confidence to express a view.
  • Skilled in Excel and PowerPoint.

YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE
  • Professional qualification(s): CFA, FIA / AIA, CAIA.
  • Experience working directly with clients (Institutional investors).
  • An understanding of ESG and Climate-focused investing.
  • Experience using industry tools such as eVestment, Financial Express and Style Analytics.
  • Additional language skills, particularly Mandarin, Cantonese or Japanese.
