This is a multi faceted position covering a broad range of duties and responsibilities.
• He or she will have exposure to all aspects of the investment process contributing to the wider investment strategy and asset allocation views of the family office.
• The role requires demonstrated knowledge of portfolio and market analysis and a passion for investing. Advanced analytical skill including the ability to frame issues, identify important points and draw conclusions, combined with strong communication skills and intellectual curiosity.

Job responsibilities
• Support the CIO across the main aspects of our investment process: communication strategy, idea generation, portfolio construction, risk management, trade capture and trade structuring.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of the market database, macro-outlook, capital markets assumptions, research materials and investment performance reports.
• Conduct global market, industry and strategy research and be informed about current and developing sector and market trends.
• Provide investment oversight of the external asset managers including but not limited to due diligence, position/risk monitoring and attribution/performance reporting
• Create, collate, and update performance metrics, investment reports and transaction schedules for all portfolios
• Research portfolio recommendations and prepare materials for the quarterly Investment Committee and weekly risk meetings.
• Proactively review and manage proprietary models to align with the Investment Committee decisions
• Liaise with the operations team to ensure the smooth processing of all trades.
• Monitor cash/liquidity management and produce timely cash flow overview reports
Skills & Experience
• An undergraduate degree with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in investment management and/or investment strategy roles.
• A passion for and comprehensive knowledge of capital markets, investment strategies, macroeconomics, and portfolio construction
• Deep understanding of investment issues and performance drivers
• Global macro, cross-asset and/or asset allocation experience is preferred.
• Ability to work independently with a demonstrable capacity to make high quality investment decisions.
• Effective in a collegiate environment-proficient with articulating ideas and respectfully challenging others
• Strong analytical skills and experience working with large data sets.
• Advanced level in Microsoft Office and market platforms (Bloomberg, Refinitv)
• Excellent organisational and project management skills, attention to detail
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
• Creative problem-solving skills, solutions-oriented mindset
• Must be highly confidential, exercise absolute discretion and display strong judgement. Experience handling sensitive or confidential financial material.
Nice to have
• Programming experience (Python, R)
• A CFA Charterholder or candidate
• Experience of lifestyle and/or liability managed investments
