Position Description:

The PIMCO European Funds team is primarily responsible for oversight of PIMCO’s European mutual funds. The team works closely with direct clients, internal teams and third-party vendors (fund administrators, custodians, auditors etc) that provide services to the funds.

The candidate will be supporting the Fund Operations Trailer Fee team responsible for the operational oversight of trailer fees and rebates pertaining to PIMCO’s European funds complexes (mainly Dublin and Luxembourg-registered UCITS IV funds). Departmental tasks include: oversight of the fund administrator’s calculation cycle, processing of new and amended agreements and query management.

Key responsibilities:
  • Support the day to day management and oversight of vendors in relation to trailer fees
  • Reconciliation of calculation cycle output and escalation of issues requiring investigation
  • Key stakeholder in the fee governance process, providing operational feedback and acting as gatekeeper in the operational approval process
  • Execution of rebate and distribution agreements with holistic oversight of the end to end process
  • Participate in project implementation (local and global)
  • Ongoing review of internal procedures
  • Assist with ad hoc queries for clients (internal and external)

Position Requirements:

  • Experience in the operational execution or oversight of trailer fee calculation cycles
  • Excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and constant focus on quality
  • Adaptable, flexible and enjoys working in a team
  • Ability to think quickly and resolve problems in a fast-paced & international environment
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver under tight deadlines
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, proficiency in designing and executing database queries is a plus
  • Proven experience in Financial Services; Fund Operations and/or with an Asset Management TPA oversight team
  • Experience of MS SharePoint would advantageous
