About this role

Blackrock's Markets Coverage Team support the trading landscape of EMEA domiciled ETFs. Through our Client Engagement pillar, we provide guidance, education and partnership to our EMEA cross-segment client base to help them efficiently trade iShares ETFs. In parallel, our Broker-Dealer pillar works closely with brokers to help them better service clients and enhance the ETF trading ecosystem.

The team, uniquely positioned within ETF & Index Investments ( EII), plays a crucial role acting as a key interface between our expert partner teams (such as global markets, product strategy and trading) and our clients. We help our sales force drive the trading conversation by providing the technical knowledge on market matters and ETF trading expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

•Working closely with the senior team members of the Markets Coverage team to help with technical and trading analysis for clients and Blackrock (BLK) sales partners with a focus on our EU27 client base.

•Provide core client support by responding to day to day requests under the supervision of the senior team members. Leverage BLK network resources.

•Updating existing and generating relevant presentation material for client pitches

•Working across the broader EII team to disseminate relevant product and market information to clients and sales teams

•Identify opportunities to streamline processes and proactively raise development project that can help in scaling the business.

•Leverage IT skills to improve existing processes.

•Develop relationships with internal/ external stakeholders to understand how their business interacts with Markets Coverage

•Work in partnership with other Blackrock teams to provide analysis and technical assistance on an ad-hoc basis

Knowledge / Experience:

•2-3 years industry experience with solid interest and understanding of financial markets

•Flexible, responsive and self-motivating personality with keen attention to detail.

•Have the ability to work effectively in a fast paced, environment and deal with multiple time sensitive tasks at a time.

•Proven analytical mindset and critical thinking skills.

•Must be a strong team-player but who can also work independently towards goals.

•Knowledge of ETFs and/ or Fixed Income expertise would be considered a plus.

•Prior experience in a client facing role would be advantageous but not a pre-requisite

Skills / Qualifications:

•Degree in quantitative subject preferred (Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering etc.).

•Excellent written and oral communication skills English and additional major European language.

•IMC/CFA or working towards will be an advantage.

•Skillful in working with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Bloomberg

•Prior knowledge of Tableau and coding (e.g. Python, VBA) skills preferable.
