Their investment remit is broad and across a wide range of strategies including exchange traded funds and are active across multiple asset classes including commodities, emerging markets, equities and fixed income.
Due to the size of the firm, the role is naturally going to be broad and offer a range of responsibilities that you simply wouldn't get at a larger firm. You will report directly into the Head of Portfolio Management and will be rubbing shoulders with a highly experienced and dynamic team on a daily basis. A typical day will involve trade execution, portfolio rebalancing, corporate action processing and operational tasks.
This role is not going to suit someone looking for a simple processing role doing the same tasks day in and day out. You will need to be a dynamic individual who can think on their feet and respond quickly to various problems. You'll need to have several years of experience in the industry, but they are willing to look at exceptional individuals from an operations/trade support-type background looking to further their career and make a step up. At the minimum you will need to be degree educated in a relatable subject such as mathematics or finance, and ideally you will hold the IMC or CFA (or at least be on your way to completion). In terms of soft skills, due to the size of the team you will need to be highly motivated and driven, can handle multiple tasks and have good attention to detail.
The client is looking to move quickly here as it is urgent for them to get someone on board, so please apply today and expect the interview process to move along swiftly!
