The Role
The Portfolio Manager opportunity is an integral part of the UK discretionary offering, primarily managing client discretionary portfolios, ensuing that the client's agreed investment strategies are met.
Ensure that all multi-asset portfolios are constructed and managed not only in accordance with the client's objectives but also in accordance with the firm's Portfolio Management and Portfolio Construction strategy.
The Portfolio Manager will manage Strategic Asset Allocation and will implement the multi-asset investment decisions by trade execution and will manage the cash and currency procedure.
The Portfolio Manager will also be responsible for the production of investment performance marketing material, both periodic and ad hoc.
To develop and maintain relationships with the Relationship Managers, promoting knowledge and trust in the discretionary proposition, with a view to promoting internal referrals of business.
The Portfolio Manager will attend internal and external investment meetings and be able to communicate effectively on the discretionary business.
Coordinating proactive investment and portfolio strategy communications to Relationship Managers and clients.
Continuous monitoring of securities and restrictions within the investment portfolios
The Candidate:
2-5 years relevant Portfolio Construction and Strategic Asset Allocation experience - this must be from a Wealth Management or Private Banking background.
Knowledge of multi-asset classes - ideally fixed income knowledge, this would be highly beneficial.
Must be able to run money with no oversight.
Level 4 RDR qualified and keen to work towards Level 6 if not already qualified.
CFA is advantageous.
Will consider CFA 1 + IMC.
Strong communicator - verbal and written.
