We are looking for someone with a sales track record to join the Institutional team, to focus on the business development and client service efforts for over $10 billion in institutional assets under management. You role will be identifying, nurturing and closing new business opportunities whilst providing service to clients, prospects and investment consultants.

The role:
  • Design institutional business development plans and increase the depth of the country-level business development effort, with dedicated focuses and responsibilities/accountabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with the global institutional and international wealth management team based in the US (New York primarily), London and Munich (team of 20+).
  • Serve as key contact person for prospects, consultants and clients. Respond to ad-hoc requests and work with the Analyst/Associate group in order to deliver in a timely manner recurring monthly and quarterly client and consultant reports.
  • Conduct thorough meeting preparation; research each prospect, client or consultant in advance of each meeting; coordinate prep calls and prep memos with necessary investment teams and other key internal teams. Coordinate all follow-ups necessary from meetings.
  • Manage the qualitative review of the RFPs being completed for institutional prospects and partner with the RFP team and Marketing to ensure timely responses.

Qualifications:
  • Preference for fluent in English, German and French, as you will be spending most of your time covering the German and French speaking markets.
  • Strong academic background in business, economics, finance or related field; MBA and/or CFA preferred.
  • Knowledge of the investment management industry and competitive landscape.
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural business, with multi-cultural clients.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a business development role in the asset management industry covering institutional clients; a focus on Germany, Switzerland, Austria and/or France is preferred.
  • Readiness to be based in London and travel extensively.
