Role & Responsibilities

- Responsible for conducting global equity research and analytical studies for the direct public equity investment team
- Engagement with portfolio companies and develop relationships with company management and research providers
- Improve understanding, evaluation and integration of material ESG factors into investment decisions
- Decision making - translating research into contributing towards investment decisions that are appropriate to each product type.
- Support the wider team in all aspects of investment research, trade execution administration and operational activities as directed
- Production of monthly and ad hoc investment reports and communications to clients, and consultants.
- Active contribution to the decision-making process of fund allocation and investment strategy resulting in improving fund performance;
- Knowledge of firm's products and services and detailed knowledge of the global equities product and universe.
Background and Experience
- Knowledge of the global equity markets
- Outstanding academic background; CFA Level II / III or equivalent
- Microsoft Excel skills (advanced Excel, VBA skills)
- Able to build, develop and maintain internal financial models for individual companies
- Ability to conduct in-depth research papers that cover all key aspects of the company's investment philosophy
- A strategic, analytical and practical commercial mindset
- Understanding of stock market and industry operating and investment valuation context.
- Strong numeracy and written skills
- Knowledge of ESG concepts and ability to synthesize analysis in a practical way
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment & possess well developed interpersonal skills
- High potential; very bright with an energetic approach
