Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Embracing the Company's culture, which emphasizes high standards for our work product and teamwork.
  • Maintaining various databases, including, but not limited to, those related to property industry performance statistics, and property transactions, development and valuation.
  • Preparing various financial analyses and exhibits that will be used in Green Street's internal and published research.
  • Using SQL to load, manipulate and maintain large quantities of data in our proprietary databases.
  • Developing innovative approaches to sourcing and combining data to produce meaningful insights.
  • Collaborating with research analysts on a wide variety of statistical projects including data collection, statistical analysis, graphical analysis, and report building.
  • Using visualization software to discover patterns in complex data sets.
  • Automating manual processes with VBA.
  • Support the publication of weekly, monthly and semi-annual research reports by providing the critical statistical elements of the reports.
  • The position includes supporting statistical requests from the sales, account management, and advisory teams.
  • Maintaining complete confidentiality regarding client details and material non-public information.
  • Providing efficient and courteous data support to our clients.
  • Explaining methodologies, reproducing data and compiling source data.

We are highly selective - candidates should meet the following requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in a financial, mathematics or statistical field
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Excel; knowledge of SQL a plus
  • Demonstrated Excel and statistical skills preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and initiative
  • A background in finance and / or solid financial modelling skills preferred (CFA Level I equivalent)
  • Strong interest in real estate a plus.
  • A strong work ethic and motivation to learn.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal), project management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage all levels across a global business.
  • High level of organizational skills with the ability to multi-task effectively and handle a large number and variety of tasks whilst maintaining accuracy.
  • Interest in pursuing the CFA designation.
