Quantitative and Macro Research:

• Construction of the economic and technical frameworks for the committees that are
responsible for setting asset allocation weightings.
• Create macro and micro indicators to call turning points and assist the firm's investment
decisions.
• Provide commentary on latest economic and political news and its potential impact on the
markets.
• Direct the output of sector specialists in conjunction with other senior Fund Managers
• Provide the data analysis and assist with the preparation of strategy reports for fund
managers
• Attend and present at public events regarding the outlook on financial markets
Asset Allocation Research:
• Where applicable provide strategic advice on asset allocation to institutional and private
client fund managers
• Show examples of an equity allocation framework that they have created to finding
opportunities and risk within country sectors and individual stocks
• Attend broker meeting and conferences on economics, bonds, currencies and asset
allocation.

Business Development:
• Able to articulate the key benefits and considerations of our proposition to potential clients
and accurately evaluate whether our services are suitable for their circumstances
• Able to build relationships with third parties providing them with clear and accurate
information on which to base their decisions
• Is able to differentiate the business from competitors, identifying opportunities for new
initiatives

Business Strategy:
• Able to explain the divisional strategy, demonstrating how business should be conducted to
achieve the desired goals
• Contributes to the achievement of the divisional strategy
Compliance and Continued Professional Development:
• Ensure familiarity and compliance with Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Prudential
Regulation Authority (PRA) requirements.
• Attend internal/external seminars as appropriate.
• Ensures that knowledge and skills are maintained and developed in line with industry,
regulatory and internal requirements by undertaking regular and appropriate CPD.

Candidate Profile
Education and Qualifications:

Graduate or post graduate
• Provide examples of using econometrics and ideally "Big Data " in analysis.

in addition to familiarity with tools such as Bloomberg, Datastream , Powerpoint .

• Ability to interpret complex economic data and their impact on markets across a range of
countries and make appropriate recommendations.
• Work independently to develop and maintain new lead indicators for SW (some examples
include BOAML 's "Bull & Bear Indicator " and "Global Wave " and Goldman Sach 's "Bear
Market Risk Indicator "), and current tools like the firm 's scorecard to assist in investment
decisions.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with experience in writing
succinct market commentary
• Fully conversant with FCA and PRA regulations and their practical application to this role.
• Be able to do ad hoc projects in a timely manner
