We are currently looking to add resource to our Nordic coverage, which is a jurisdiction that Berenberg is continuing to build significant coverage and market share.
The mandate of the team is to cover companies in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. The team is sector agnostic. Ideally we'd like someone who has been working previously in Equity Research, and covering companies already and is ready to make the step up. Your responsibilities:
- Conducting research on a range of companies within the Nordic region, attendance at company presentations, attendance of meetings with company management, researching company accounts/reports and other sources and drafting research notes
- Financial modelling and valuation
- Undertaking various support tasks associated with the research function, updating databases, reviewing and archiving research material
Your profile:
- Fluency in at least one of the Nordic languages is critical. Swedish is highly preferred, but also open to Norwegian and Danish;
- Previous experience in Equity Research at a reputable firm, preferably with experience of covering your own stock(s), although we'd also consider a recent graduate with suitable internship experience;
- Working in a systematic and methodical way;
- Showing evidence of clear analytical thinking;
- Taking attention to detail;
- Degree level education or equivalent experience required;
- Advanced IT skills, including all standard Office applications;
- Knowledge of company valuations and financial modelling;
- CFA level 1 is also highly regarded.
