You will work closely with Distribution and Product teams in providing due diligence information for prospects and clients. You will be required to produce first class, timely, professional output that will continue to build Schroders' profile, profitability and client base whilst liaising effectively with stakeholders across Schroders.

You will pay due regard to the interests of our customers, treating them fairly. Ensuring that the information provided to clients on products and services is clear and useful and enables them to understand fully what they are being offered. Be familiar with the team's current procedures, FCA compliance requirements, and the principles behind 'Treating Customers Fairly' and 'Conduct Risk'.

The team


The global marketing function is responsible for all aspects of marketing to Institutional, Intermediary, Insurance and Financial Institution clients and Consumer audiences. Marketing activities include answering Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and due diligence requests, events, literature, presentations, digital, PR and advertising.

Positioned within global marketing, the Business Development Services team supports the gaining of new clients and servicing of existing clients. The team covers Institutional and Intermediary channels across the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

What you'll do

• Prepare accurate, complete drafts and polished final submissions, compliant Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) and related materials that supports the servicing of our clients.
• Ensure that all materials are completed by the required deadline, maintaining an open line of communication with all parties involved.
• Assist in managing the entire completion process, from evaluating the requests to engaging with the relevant stakeholders from across Schroders to ensure completion. Working closely with the Client Service team, the successful candidate will also oversee the production and delivery of submissions.
• Demonstrate the ability to work in an organised and consistent way, diligently paying attention to detail and accuracy and working well under pressure. Always work with others in an open and co-operative way.
• Liaise with the Client Service team, Infrastructure and other subject matter experts to obtain the right information and prepare detailed content for the client. Edit standard and bespoke material to suit the client's requirements.
• Implement the team's approach to best practice for each submission, applying it appropriately depending on the complexity of the individual submission.
• Follow the defined processes for the use of the content database (Qvidian), including identifying new or updated content to be included on a timely basis.
• Take end-to-end ownership of submissions from allocation to you through to delivery to the prospect or client.
• Support Business Development Services team colleagues in responding to requests where required, including materials that supports the gaining of new business. Proactively provide support to other team and department members, particularly during the busiest periods.
• Demonstrate professional behaviours and a "can do attitude". Maintain focus on delivering to a high standard in a rigorous and professional way. Be motivated to achieve the best and expect the best from others.
• Own and/or contribute to team and department initiatives.
• Undertake compliance and data checks for other team members.
• Record and file all materials in accordance with FCA requirements and the process manual.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

• Demonstrated experience of due diligence or client servicing within asset management. Broader financial services or asset management experience is advantageous.
• Experience of client due diligence platforms (e.g. AssetQ, Door) is advantageous.
• Detailed understanding of asset management, and institutional and intermediary channels.
• Detailed product knowledge in an asset class (e.g. equity, fixed income, multi-asset or alternatives).
• Experience liaising with Distribution and Product specialists; as well as clients and third parties (e.g. investment consultants) as required.
• Strong team player, with the ability to use own initiative and a self-starter.
• Ability to interact effectively and professionally at all levels of seniority and across multiple cultures.
• Ability to provide guidance and support for the development of colleagues.
• Experience using Qvidian database (or equivalent).
• IMC (or equivalent).
• Proactive approach to tasks and problem solving.
• Strong numeracy and literacy.
• Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.
• Strong time and project management skills. Efficient and well-organised and able to manage multiple and at times conflicting deadlines.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Candidates should be educated to degree-level (or equivalent).
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel)

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help

• Language skills an advantage.
• CFA Level I (or at least the ambition to do so) or post-graduate in business or finance.
