Where you'll fit in & what our team goals are...

To provide direct support to the Fixed Income Fund Management teams to assist them in the day-to-day management of their portfolios

This is an initial 12 month fixed term contract.

Responsibilities

How you'll spend your time....

As part of the wider Investment Support Team, in this initial 12 month fixed term contract you will provide assistance to the Fixed Income Fund Management Teams, consisting of the Credit, High Yield, Money Markets and Global Rates desks. The role will cover the following areas:
  • Provide cash, portfolio and other ad hoc reporting to assist fund managers in the investment decision making process. This includes indicative performance for a range of IG, High Yield and Global Rates' products based on PORT. Investigate any challenges from desk.
  • Timely and effective query resolution for Fund Managers
  • Provision of data for client reports & presentations, RFPs and other ad-hoc requests (such as turnover data, cash positions, exposure breakdown by country, maturity buckets, ratings etc).
  • Update holdings and exposure for money market sheets. Daily Reverse Repo processing for Money Markets desk and oversight/assistance to Investment Ops at State Street.
  • Monitor FX hedge exposures and adjust for applicable funds not in hedging model
  • Liaise with third party outsourcer and external custodians with respect to monitoring client portfolios, monitoring trades and general maintenance of client portfolios
  • Coordination and input of front office decisions on all corporate action activity
  • Resolution of system and data issues for Fund Managers such as pricing and holding queries
  • Daily/Monthly compliance checks including stale price investigation and NAV reconciliation discrepancies on OEIC portfolios
  • Assist with resolution of mandate compliance alerts as flagged by Investment Mandate Control team.
  • Security classification and data validation prior to month end report run for marketing teams
  • SME & testing for budgeted projects. Raise development items to be captured in the BAU IT 'Demand Management Forum' for prioritisation with a Business Analyst & IT Developer. Raise Change Requests for any process that impacts downstream activities performed by State Street.
  • Maintain Desk Procedures, ensuring the processes and controls are captured and adhered to
  • Close Liaison with PM's and compliance team for the resolution of both active and passive fund breaches
  • Understand the rules and regulations in regards to investment portfolios and ensure funds remain compliant
  • Assist in the monitoring of Currency Hedging Ratios and subsequent entering of FX Spot and Forwards transactions in order to rebalance the portfolio's


Required Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Advanced Excel, VBA
  • Coding, including SQL & Python
  • Factset
  • Bloomberg / Bloomberg PORT
  • ThinkFolio, Aladdin
