Responsibilities
How you'll spend your time....
This initial 12 month fixed term contract role sits in the front office and works directly alongside the Multi-Strategy Fund Management and Investment Teams providing day to day support on their portfolios.
In this role you will cover the following broad areas:
- Direct support for the investment team, conducting day to day management of portfolios. Timely and effective query resolution for Fund Managers, internal departments and outsource provider.
- Decision support - asset allocation, adjusting multi asset portfolio weightings according to daily flows received, policy papers, trade implementation.
- Monitor FX hedge exposures and adjust for applicable funds not in hedging model
- Check fund performance against in-house spreadsheets
- Monitor and book TRS positions & resets - liaise with OTC Processing team at State Street for middle office capture.
- Project and monitor income on income distributing funds to advise fund managers of levels and whether further income is required.
- Provision of data for client presentations, RFP & ad-hoc requests (such as Top holdings, credit rating, currency exposures, sector allocation and geographical breakdown to the Factsheet Team and Client Services Team).
- Monitor upcoming maturities to ensure futures, options, bonds etc are rolled.
- Assist with monitoring of ESG and RI compatibility of Responsible Funds via on-desk spreadsheets
- Cash reporting & monitoring of overdrafts and flows. Monitor currency exposures and enter FX spot & hedging adjustments for portfolios outside of the passive Treasury Dealing model. Work with internal teams and State Street for resolution of any associated issues identified by the desk.
- Monitor assets approaching maturity and advise Fund Managers.
- Assist with the completion of documentation to allow investment in 3rd party funds.
- Corporate action decision support on behalf of Investment desk.
- Process OTC derivative trades in Front Office Systems. Monitor lifecycle events, such as resets, coupons, maturities, credit events etc. Verify long-form paper confirmations.
- Involvement in non-BAU project work, such as raising/assisting with Change Requests; New Fund launches & transitions; OMS upgrades and testing etc.
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have....
- Strong Multi-Asset background, including OTC & ETD derivative experience, understanding cash flows and structure of the assets.
- Relevant work experience within an asset management company or investment bank
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Advanced Excel, VBA
- Coding, including SQL & Python
- Factset
- Bloomberg / Bloomberg PORT
- ThinkFolio, Aladdin
Preferred Qualifications

- Industry qualification such as IMC or CFA
