What will you be doing?
  • Driving commercial awareness and having technical ability to execute complex transactions, while understanding the legal impact of finalised documents
  • Demonstrating a good understanding of structured transactions and how these interact with other teams/ departments and strategies to achieve sustainable returns for the firm
  • Displaying a good understanding of tax, accounting and regulatory matters and being able to apply this knowledge to the transaction execution process
  • Interpreting and taking responsibility for short term, as well as long term transaction management and maintaining responsible risk management facility
  • Understanding the factors that influence the risk positions and communicating these to senior team members, utilising cross-firm network and building solid relationships with other teams
  • Being a role model and mentor junior members of the desk, sharing the knowledge required to progress in the team, and providing a sounding board for any issues and concerns they may have
  • Supporting the Transaction Lead on calls, meetings with clients and advisors when required, as well as drafting presentations for senior members of STG and Tax to aid decision making
  • Being competent executing in complex and challenging conditions, to ensure thorough coverage of various areas (tax, accounting, modelling, regulatory requirements)


What we're looking for:
  • Solid working experience in a transactional team, within an investment bank, law firm, Big 4 Accountancy firm or similar organisation
  • Excellent quantitative/ numeracy skill set
  • Capability to solve problems logically with the creative use of available resources
  • Self-starter and team player, with a proven ability to interact at a wide range of levels in- and outside their own team

Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Master's or graduate degree and/or CFA / ACA/ ACCA or equivalent accreditation or experience
  • Execution experience and proven ability to execute through challenging conditions
  • Good understanding of Investment Banking businesses and activities
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
