Portfolio Finance Analyst

The Client

You'll be joining a highly reputable Venture Capital business who until recently were joined with a much larger, very prestigious Asset Manager. Now their own entity they have experienced rapid growth and can offer you a secure, fast paced and rewarding career.

The Role

You'll be supporting the European ventures team, being involved in finance and portfolio operations.

You'll have the opportunity to work with senior figures within the portfolio companies themselves such as the CFOs, you'll be presenting commercial insight to board members of the portfolio companies themselves.

You'll support portfolio reporting, conducting quarterly valuations on existing portfolio companies which will in turn provide commercial information to the Head of Finance and Head of Portfolio Management and influence forward looking decision making.

Finally, you'll also be involved with investment activities, ensuring transactions close on time and whilst taking an active role in deal management

Responsibilities

• Assist with investment activities, ensuring transactions are closed on time and taking an active position in deal management
• Support portfolio reporting including Investor, Valuations and Fund Performance reports
• Drive insight from investment performance to aid in future decision making
• Contribute to deal pipeline metrics and maintaining market coverage

Requirements

• 3-5 years experience in fund audit, transaction services or FP&A
• Experience with the PE or VC industry and performance valuations
• Proven strength in Excel with strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Word
• High level planning, problem solving and organisation skills
