Who we're looking for

An Implementation Portfolio Manager on the Emerging Market Equity Desk. The Role is responsible for the implementation of investment models working closely with Fund Managers. They are also responsible for overseeing cash management, implementing hedge strategies and instruction of corporate actions.

An Implementation Portfolio Manager's main customer is their Investment team, however as a senior team member they are also expected to be able to manage more complex queries by providing the support link between Operations & Client Service teams representing the Fund Manager. A good Implementation Portfolio Manager has to be able to meet the following criteria.

1. Meet the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) criteria
2. To understand the guidelines and regulations of all desk mandates
3. To have knowledge of regulations and execution processes for all markets included in desk strategies

What you'll do

• Designing and proposing procedures for implementation and portfolio management
• Trade authorisation
• Day to day Portfolio oversight
• Cash management & hedging
• Strategy rebalancing and implementation
• Transition management activities and fund restructuring

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

• Attention to detail - strong mathematical and technical skills and ability to pick up errors
• Strong time management - able to prioritise effectively and multi task
• Team player - works collaboratively with Fund Managers, Dealers, Portfolio Compliance, Performance & Fund Services
• Good judgement - ability to work in a fast paced environment and display good judgement
• Reliable - Sense of urgency, calm under pressure, trustworthy, disciplined, professional
• Good communicator - accessible and empathetic
• Builds relationships with Investment, & Operations - good understanding of process and how operation and support teams work
• Credible - Good understanding of and interest in markets and instruments
• Responsive - Pro-actively picks up work and replies to calls/emails promptly
